- Every November and April meeting there will be a judged competition.
- Each competition will have 2 categories. You may enter only one picture in each category.
- These categories will be chosen by the Competition Committee 6 months before the event.
- There will be 3 judges (1 from the Shutterbugs and 2 outside the club). The two outside judges will be given a Get Go gas card valued at $25 for their travel expenses.
- There will be a total fee of $2 per photo to enter into the competition.
- 30% of the entries in each category will be awarded prizes. The one or ones with the most points first, next most second next most third, and the honorable mention until the 30% is completed.
- During judging the pictures will be previewed by the judges, followed by formal judging.. After the judging they will be critiqued.
- Two people will check the pictures in – one for each category.
- A member of the Competition Committee will determine whether the pictures fit the categories before competition.
- The picture will be single matted in either a BLACK or WHITE mat .
- Picture size will be at least 80 sq in, but not more than 187 sq in.(Not more than 16 X 20 inches, panoramic may be entered if it fits the size requirement).
- The photos will be judged on the basis of composition, visual impact, light- color-contrast, etc.
- To be eligible for a particular photo contest, you must have had 2 photos critiqued in the prior year's time.
